php - How to create a system to show recent activity in my web application

Question

I'm creating a web app using jquery,Php and Ajax and i wanted to show a panel with recent activities made by the user.

Messages like:

16:03 - order xxx was created
17:00 - a user password was modified
12:30 - register of the product xxx is incomplete

Should I make a function that register every time i make an action and then return it to the panel? What is the the most efficient/simple way to accomplish that?
