curl - Embedding C library without installing it

Question

I'm quite new to embedded software.

I'm recently trying to build linux embedded system with some packages, to make IoT system.

However, I want to use some library whose name is libxxx but there is no need to use xxx demon or client something in CLI.

For example, I just want to use libcurl without curl in linux system, or want to use libsqlite without sqlite3, libmariadb without mariadb client, libprotobuf-c without protobuf.

Is it absolutely possible? Or case by case?

If case by case, please tell me the possible ones on above example.
